Ben Jacobs Lighting Design - About

I’m a freelance lighting designer and associate lighting designer based in London, working primarily in theatre. I enjoy working in close collaboration with a creative team, and firmly believe in the idea of the designer as dramaturge. My work relies on a close relationship with the rest of the creative team and utilises close scrutiny of text & source material combined with a constructive, active contribution to the rehearsal process.

I trained in Lighting Design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and am a member of the Association of Lighting Designers. I have worked as Associate Lighting Designer with Paule Constable and Jon Clark among others and work as a visiting professional at RCSSD.
